“The Rhythm of Steel” is Ashui's 2025 pavilion, built from recycled steel beams to honour the workers, the Heroes of Construction. IDA partnered on the project, bringing light to revive the rhythm of the steel as night falls.
Steel, and the light of the worker
The pavilion is assembled from used I-beams, keeping their rust and marks of time. By day, the steel mass appears raw and powerful; by night, light threads through each layer of beams, turning an industrial material into a work with rhythm.

An evening of tribute
The inauguration and tribute took place in the evening, gathering the architecture and construction community beside the lit exhibition space. The light here is not just to see by, but to create a solemn atmosphere for a word of gratitude.

Light lets the steel breathe — and lets the worker's effort be seen.
From drawing to site
Behind a beautiful space are days of meticulous work: craning each heavy steel beam into place, aligning every angle of light. For IDA, partnering on projects like this is a way of contributing to the life of the profession.
