Lighting is a discipline to be understood, not merely bought. In the workshop with Hưng Giang Interiors, IDA shared how to see light as part of architecture — from layered thinking to choosing the right equipment.
Learning to see light
The session began with the fundamentals: the three layers of light — ambient, task and accent — colour temperature, colour rendering and how to avoid glare. These are things everyone encounters in living spaces but rarely names clearly.

From theory to real fixtures
The workshop was set up right in the showroom, where the pendant systems were lit for real so attendees could feel them directly — instead of just reading specs on paper. Light only convinces when seen with your own eyes.

When clients understand light, they choose better — and value more what they are investing in.
Sharing is part of the profession
For IDA, every workshop is a chance to spread professional thinking to partners and the community. Understand light before choosing fixtures — that is what we believe and want to pass on.
